A Disparate Y1.8K is a project created by User:DockJr1516798. It is an alternate version of the A Disparate Y2K (ADY2K) timeline on the Alternate History fandom page which combines the genres of alternate history and conworld. It mostly leans more towards a conworld that serves to fix plot holes in the ADY2K timeline without breaking the one POD rule. The abbreviation of "Y1.8K" is a play on Y2K: it combines the letter Y for "year", the number 1.8 (or 18 divided by 10) and a capitalized version of k for the SI unit prefix kilo meaning 1000; hence—1.8K signifies the 1800s—precisely the late 1860s which was the first major POD in the timeline version of this project.
One focus is the existence of automakers and their respective parts manufacturers that mainly don't exist within the context of the real world: The automotive side of this conworld was originally devised as the scrapped lore connecting a series of fictional car companies designed for the 2015 video game Automation. It also covers an assortment of fictitious air raid siren models to a certain degree, but not commonly.
