The Amazon Lily Catholic Church (ALCC; French: Église Catholique d'Amazon Lily; Latin: Ecclesia Catholica Amazon Lily; (ECAL); Japanese: アマゾン・リリーカトリック教会 Amazon Rirī Katorikku Kyōkai; Chinese: Traditional: 亞馬遜百合天主教會; Simplified: 亚马逊百合天主教会; pinyin: Yàmǎxùn Bǎihé Tiānzhǔjiào Huì) formally called the Amazon Lily National Apostolic Catholic Church (ALNACC; French: Église Catholique Apostolique Nationale d'Amazon Lily; Latin: Ecclesia Catholica Apostolicus Nationalis Amazon Lily; (ECANAL); Japanese: アマゾン・リリー国家使徒カトリック教会 Amazon Rirī Kokka Shito Katorikku Kyōkai; Chinese: Traditional: 亞馬遜百合國家使徒的天主教會; Simplified: 亚马逊百合国家使徒的天主教会; pinyin: Yàmǎxùn Bǎihé Guójiā Shǐtú Tiānzhǔjiào Huì), is an Independent Catholic Christian church and serves as the established church and national church of the Empire of Amazon Lily. The church is headed by a triumvirate with the Emperor of Amazon Lily (currently Alexander Yamamoto) serves as the Supreme Patriarch and supreme secular leader of the church alongside the Secretary of Ecclesiastical Affairs, and the Patriarch of All-Amazon Lily as the spiritual leader of the church. It is founded by Emperor Alexander Yamamoto in July 15, 1984, to replace the mainstream Catholic Church of which Amazon Lily had (theoretically still have) a complicated history with the Holy See, but Emperor Alexander managed to restore peace between the Amazon Lily Church and Rome.
The Church describes itself as Catholic, National and Equal with Amazonian traditions.
- Catholic, it views itself as a part of the universal church of Jesus Christ in unbroken continuity with the early apostolic church. This is expressed in its emphasis on the teachings of the early Church Fathers, as formalised in the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian creeds.
- National, it is separated from the supremacy of the Pope, completely subordinate to the government with Nationalist oath, but maintain and protect the Catholic heritage with Amazonian traditions.
- Equal, it views everyone and everything as equal to God, no matter which species, sex or ethnic they are from, they are all equally welcome in the church.
The ALNACC is well known, notably more tolerable and liberal than the Roman Catholic Church, due to its acceptance and absolute tolerance of married clergy, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, and the ordination of women. With 1,649,942,980 self-declared members, the Amazon Lily Catholic Church makes the first-largest Christian church in Amazon Lily alongside the Catholic Church. It has been opposing racism and been known for supporting civic nationalism with their popular slogan turned official creed: "Everyone is equal to God, Everything is equal to God, The Emperor is equal to God".
Name
The Church is formally titled in both French and Latin as Église Catholique Apostolique Nationale d'Amazon Lily; Ecclesia Catholica Apostolicus Nationalis Paradisus Insula; アマゾン・リリー国家使徒カトリック教会; 亞馬遜百合國家使徒的天主教會, 亚马逊百合国家使徒的天主教会, (French, Japanese, Chinese (both traditional and simplified) and Latin for Amazon Lily National Apostolic Catholic Church). In International English it is also known as the Amazon Lily National Catholic Church or Amazonian National Catholic Church.
Beliefs
The ECANAL supports the clerical marriage, ordination of women and civic nationalism, the sacrament of Communion under both kinds, individual Biblical interpretation, veneration of saints, Mary the mother of Jesus and the Holy Trinity, but opposed the Roman Catholic dogma of papal infallibility, rejected but permitted the sacrament of Penance, the beliefs of the Emperor as the Son of God, the Vicar of Christ, the divine incarnation of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Leadership
The Church is formally under the leadership of the Emperor of Amazon Lily (currently Alexander I) alongside the Secretary of Ecclesiastical Affairs since its foundation in 1984, but it was decided that the day to day leadership of the church was handled by the Holy Synod, presided over by the Patriarch of All-Amazon Lily and Archbishop of Amazon Lily City.
