Brittany is a French successor state.
History[]
During the Nuclear War of 1994, the national (then regional) government of Brittany was relocated to Saint-Malo after multiple urban centers were destroyed by nuclear weapons. In 1999, contact with Nouvelle-Aquitaine was made. By 2001, Brittany & Nouvelle-Aquitaine had become allies & together, they established the French Collective, to explore more of France.
In 2002, they attempted an expedition into the ruins of Paris, which ended with the entire squad getting killed by bandits. 10 years later in 2012, the 2 nations were discovered, in which their history was included in the Alliance of Nations' July 28, 2012 report on Mainland France.
Present Day[]
As of the present day, the Republic of Brittany remains a sovereign entity within the French Collective. Its capital in Saint-Malo serves as the administrative and political center of the region. The government of Brittany, working alongside Nouvelle-Aquitaine, continues its endeavors to explore territories within the former mainland France.
The Republic of Brittany is focused on fostering stability, rebuilding infrastructure, and establishing a secure environment for its citizens. The challenges posed by the nuclear war and the subsequent lawlessness have necessitated a strong emphasis on defense, resource management, and the cultivation of alliances with neighboring regions.
