Callisto is the fourth major planet of Jupiter. It is designated also Sol B IV.
History[]
Callisto was formed around 9 billion years ago. Then, it was even colder planet than now. But later growing of Jupiter made also Callisto become warmer. Unicellular organisms have been calculated to have reached the planet some 2 Gyr ago, and the evolution of life has been ongoing even since.
In 1854 AD Charles Darwin theorisized the existence of life on Callisto. In March 2nd, 2006 AD, Japanese astronauts landed on the planet. Several organisations have planned on colonization, while goverments of countries are not interested on this cold environment.

Callisto has relatively weak plate tectonics, and a mostly flat terrain with an exception of several high volcanoes (formed over hot spots). The highest place is 14039 m MSL.
The minimal axial tilt results in warmth at equatorial regions.
