The current Constitution of Pushistymistan was approved by national referendum on 21 August 1991, and signed into law by the President of Pushistymistan on 4 September 1991. The nation later began to move towards market-based reforms, and the constitution was subsequently modified on 14 February 1999.

The constitution provides for a separation of powers between the judicial, legislative, and executive branches. It also grants every citizen religious freedom, universal suffrage, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and the right to property. It further establishes Pushistymistan as an independent sovereign country with a multiparty democracy and a market economy.
