Gavin Girafferson (born Jafin Jrafirsun, sometimes translated to Gavin Graferson; May 26, 1918 – July 30, 1991) was a Chadian-born politician who served as the President of the Democratic Republic of the United States of America following a coup in 1948. He subsequently became the first President of the United Giraffe Republics from its declaration in 1950 until his death in 1991. Girafferson was the founder of Giraffeism and led the Giraffe Freedom Movement, establishing a government ruled by Giraffersonism.
