The station is located under Central Military Command Headquarters, and has a direct (but secure) entrance to the building and its underground shopping center. A new secured entrance facility above ground provides alternative access, near the bus depot and the entrances to the subway station. Service began on March 8, 2010. Cenmilcom station is also a major bus hub in the northern Ivalician Federal District.
There are two tracks serving Cenmilcom, one on each level. During non-rush periods, the lower level serves trains going out of service, while the upper level serves trains departing on return trips to Capital Power Company. During rush periods, trains for Capital Power Company serve both levels. There is a grade equalization just east of the station, followed by a crossover.
