The country's largest ethnic group are the whites, composing over 80% of the population as of 2020, although this number is gradually going down due to lower fertility rates and higher death rates. Whites are spread all throughout the country, but the states with the highest proportion of white people are Arthur Baker, Sabine, and Mississippi. The majority of the white in the country have either English, German, Irish or Italian blood, however, there are other minorities such as Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Russian, Czech, and Spanish. The largest minority in the country are the mixed people, composed of indiduals that have both European and African blood. They are mainly found in the southern states of Dalbiens, Port Christiana, and Haverrane. Balcks are the second largest minority group in Odetia, they are also mainly in the south, specially in Dalbiens and Saint Luke.
In 2024, the Odetian Census and Statistic Institute (OCSI) conducted a poll with the size of 10,000 people from all states where it was asked about the individual's race and foreign background. According to the poll, 78.47% of them declared themselves as white, down from the 80.16% declared in 2020. Rio Grande had the biggest drop in white percentage in the overall population (-0.92%), followed by Pawnee (0.91%), and Derrial (-0.83%). Meanwhile the foreign-born population increased to 5.30%, up from 4.90% in 2020. Derrial had the biggest growth in the immigrant population as a percentage (1.11%), followed by Newlands (0.88%), and Port Christianna (0.85%). Panuco and Pawnee were the only two states to report a drop in overall number of immigrants (-0.18% and -0.03% respectively).
The southern part of Odetia has the most diverse population in all of the country. In many parts of Rochester, Haverrane, Dalbiens, Saint Luke, and Saint Johns, the whites are not the majority, but country-wide minorities, creating majority-minority areas. In some areas, the ethnic groups that form the plurality of the region do not constitute even 30% of the overall population.

Language[]
The only official language of Odetia is English, which is recognized by the federal government. However, at the state, county, and city level, there is a possibility to establish other official and co-official/minority languages besides English, which has resulted in various languages being recognized in different regions of the country. For instance, in Derrial, Odetisch is a co-official language (spoken natively by 7.12% of the population), while in Rochester, the co-official language is Lokni language (spoken natively by 1.90% of the population). In Hennig, also in Derrial, Norwegian is recognized as an official language (spoken natively by 27.90% of the population). The country's law requires any subdivision, and the nation itself, to recognize a language as official if the number of native speakers corresponds to 20% of the population or more. On the other hand, a language must be recognized as a minority language if it has 2% to 19.99% of the total population. Approximately 8.07% of Odetia's population speaks two or more native languages and each census shows an UP in this number, although each language does not have the same growth. The states with the highest rate of multiple native languages being spoken by its population are Panuco, Pawnee, and Derrial. In the other hand, Mississippi, Mobile, and Saint Luke have the lowest rates.

In the multicultural society of Odetia, linguistic diversity is highly valued, and the government has taken steps to ensure that minority languages are given national recognition. Spanish, Odetisch, and Lokni are the three recognized minority languages of the country, and while they are not official languages, all Odetians have the right to request any official document in these languages. This ensures that individuals who speak these languages can access crucial information and services in a language that they are comfortable with. In addition, the Odetian government requires that any official speech given by a representative of the country must include subtitles in these minority languages, even if the subtitles are not turned on by default. This not only ensures that individuals who speak these languages can follow the speeches and remain engaged in the political process but also serves to highlight the importance of linguistic diversity in Odetia
Religion[]

Furthermore, the constitution forbids the House of Representatives of Odetia or the Senate of Odetia from passing any law promoting religion as well as any laws establishing a state religion within Odetia and/or within its subdivisions.

Although its numbers are falling, Christianity has been the most followed religion in Odetia since the country was colonized by the Spanish and later the British. As a result of it being the state religion during the British rule, Protestantism is the most common Christian denomination and the majority of southern and northern states, followed by Roman Catholicism as a result of Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Irish, and German immigration to the country, making up the majority in central Odetial as well as Panuco. People declaring themselves as irreligious and atheist has been growing, particularly after the fall of the dictatorship in the country in 1959. According to the 2020 census, 14.40% of the population considered themselves as irreligious, compared to 9.13% in the 2010 census.
