East Mainland (abbreviated as EM)is one of the seven states of the United Islands of Georgeland, taking up the eastern segment of the island of Mainland. Its land area of 380,464 sq. km makes it roughly equal in size to the U.S. state of Montana. It borders the state of West Mainland to its west but shares no other land borders, as along with West Mainland it is one of two states that does not consist of an entire island.
In 2019, the population of East Mainland (referred to as East Mainlanders, or colloquially as Easterners or Dancers) was 12,302,394. Of those, about five million reside in Doubledance and another two million in Huzzah, Lylecity and Hatton, the latter of which is a Doubledance satellite.
East Mainland was created on 1 July 2000 following the subdivision of the state of Mainland into two parts. Doubledance, the state's largest city, was proclaimed the capital of East Mainland.
