Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson (b. May 15, 1956, Sergiocitta, as Elizabeth Prosser) is a Georgeland actress who has appeared in more than forty films and television series since the 1970s. Wilson is commonly associated with the Georgeland National Shakespeare Company, and has performed in a number of their productions. Her first role with the GNSC was as Mistress Quickly in the company's 1977 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor and followed this up with the role of Hero in the 1979-1982 run of Much Ado Without Nothing. She also began appearing in small film roles, such as in Kirk Forrester's Eleanor in 1980.
Wilson has subsequently appeared in a great number of TV series and movies. She played the lead role in the 1985 film Beyond Harsh River and the role of Lisa Knight's mute sister in 1987's Vacancy, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at that years's Georgeland Film Awards.
In the GNSC's 1989-1991 production of Richard III, Wilson played Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV. Her characterisation of Elizabeth as a caricature of Queen Elizabeth II was noted as an unusual interpretation. She also played the role in the 1993 filmed version of the play.
Wilson is perhaps best known to American audiences for her appearances in Hollywood films in the mid-1990s, including Baker's Dozen and A Fairly Ordinary Tale. She also appeared in a number of BBC Shakespearean productions. Since 2000, Wilson has worked solely in Georgeland. She also starred in a leading role in the 2000 thriller Legality.
In 2004 she returned to the stage for the first time in almost seven years, playing Gertrude in the GNSC's new production of Hamlet for seven performances. Wilson is married to fellow Shakespearean actor Ian Rothman, with whom she worked in Richard III and Legality. They have three children; their eldest, John Rothman, is also an actor.
