Ginaetr, (Amarthias: Home Land) also called The Sundered Lands or the Sundered Continent, is one of the four continents of Estreoth. Of the four it is has the lowest population, the lowest density, the least biodiversity, and is mostly unknown to the people of Estreoth. Now, two thousand years after the Great Catacylsm, the continent belongs to the Orcs. A handful of expeditions have been launched however none discovered anything of interest to the kingdoms of Estreoth.
Overview[]
Ginaetr is the blasted wasteland located west of Etrothos. The continents flora and fauna is nearly non-existent from the ancient cataclysm and as such the majority of the land is a dry desert wasteland. Ancient tales mention beautiful and majestic mountains existing throughout the continent, however modern Ginaetr lacks any truth mountains. Instead the ground is cracked. Huge chunks of wind-worn bedrock jut out from the landscape and large water-filled canyons connect to the ocean.
Although its location formerly led to a temperature climate, the destruction of the continent's plant life caused the temperature to sky rocket. Hot, dust-filled wind covers large portions of the continent. Sandstorms are rather common.
Geography[]
Ginaetr is dominated by the Alzes Crater and the canyons that connect it to the Ilerian Ocean. Natural mountains are non-existent, only jagged and up-heaved rock. Valleys created from sinking bedrock are a staple of the landscape. However the majority of the landscape is sunbaked earth.

History[]
Ginaetr was where the Alemnii first arrived on Estreoth. It was also where they created the Ancient Kingdom and kept its capital for several thousand years. During that time, the continent was a lush, fertile land filled with countless varieties of flora and fauna. The land's fertile plains fed millions.
However, by the time Alzesnaar stood in the center of the continent, most of Ginaetr had become a scorched hell due to the large electrical storms that raged over the continent. During the cataclysm itself, the continent was blasted into pieces. Although the magical effects have long faded, the continent remains a barren wasteland with the exception of the Leechwood growths.
