History []

The Shatter Islands was formed unexpectedly; in 930 AD, the Katla volcano in Iceland erupted. The Katla erupted to many places, like Jan Mayen, Norway and Svalbard, thanks to its lava. However, the lava erupted all the way towards somewhere near the Isle of Sheppey and Netherlands, making it the longest distance of eruption and landing. Over 10 years, the lava was cooled down and layered upon each layer until it was at least 5.5 metres above sea level. Also, grass began to grow and life began at Shatter Islands. The vikings from Iceland and Norway were trading with England when suddenly, they found 4 islands, scattered along the the estuary of River Thames. They immediately named the islands the Brökkenejar and lived there. They built two settlements: Antellejuri (Seagate) and Mossjœnnefjejur (Greenhampton).

The 1391 war.

In 1387, Iceland and Norway had a debate, on who should invade Shatter Islands, as the settlers were mainly Icelandics and Norwegians. Britain also joined the argument, stating that we should have a battle. However, it was a battle between Britain and Iceland and Norway. Iceland and Norway were allied so they if they won, they would have the battle for themselves to build up the conclusion. However, Britain won and ruled Shatter Islands, in which the small island became part of the British Empire. At that time, many new languages were created during the British Era, like Shatter-Gaelic and the near-extinct language of Hampish, spoken at parts of Greenhampton. But the British admired the culture of Shatter Islands and spared them, leaving the country on their own. But Shatter Islands promised them to speak the new languages. However, they didn't, and only spoke Landæg and didn't heed the advice of the British.

William Columbus finally led Britain to victory and claimed Shatter Islands as theirs. He also promised to build a settlement named after him, Columbus Town.

However, it was found by William Columbus (also known as the Columbus of Britain), a Landish explorer who was raised up in a town called Ingatestone, went sailing towards Netherlands in 1419. He passed by the Shatter Islands and saw them breaking their promises, speaking the Landæg language. Furious, he immediately sailed back to Britain and informed the King, however, the King didn't believe him and instead sent him out. Columbus then made an army of his friends, in which he thought, was not going to be successful. The Vikings were more powerful than the British. Columbus fought with them, and unexpectedly, Columbus won. The King was furious and set sail to kill Columbus, however, Columbus showed the King a Landish Viking, who spoke something in Landæg. The King forgave Columbus and instead passed down the line towards Columbus as the King instead of an explorer. During Columbus' reign, he promised to build more settlements and also promised to build a settlement, named after him, Columbus Town (nowadays known as King Columbus Town). English was the main language and it has been the longest running main language in Shatter Islands ever since. A few years later after 1419, William Columbus was walking, when he saw a volcano. He said that he wanted to name the volcano William. However, as he said that, the volcano suddenly exploded and killed around 132 people, including Columbus. He was aged 48 when he died. The problem was that there was no king to rule Shatter Islands as Columbus didn't have a wife or a son. There were only three options: Hendrick George, William's friend, who was experted in archery, Wissjohnen Brattenburg, a famous knight of Aadenland, and Markus, Duke of Breda. First, it was George's turn. The army marched up toward the north of Isle of Moose and sailed towards Aadenland. Despite the windy weathers, they arrived at Aadenland. Brattenburg wasn't prepared, as they weren't alarmed. The Battle of Manchenpubbu began, and sincee Brattenburg wasn't prepared, he died, and Aadenland retreated. It became a sucess to England. However, it was half completed, and England was tired. They sailed back to Shatter Islands to get energized, however, the Dutch army was already waiting for them. the Battle of Cascades began and the battle didn't last for 28 days. Finally, George's head was decapitated, and England was forced to retreat. The Dutch won and ruled the Shatter Islands, and at that time, Markus was taught English and built churches and other buildings in his architecture. The volcano is now extinct, and it is a memorial and a museum. The volcano is now called volcano William's Brutal Murderer, or WBM as simplified.

Shatter Islands had always been fighting for independence. In 1999, the UK wanted Shatter Islands as the part of their nation. But Shatter Islands was furious about it and instead, they began a chemical war, known as The Gaseous War. What was even more strange was that the Shatter Islands had 5 islands, and the war was taken place at the 5th island, the Isle of Dreaconfield. Shatter Islands won, but the Isle of Dreaconfield was full of radioactive waves, and since the island is too low in terms of height, it was forced to be washed away.
