Koiwai Plaza is a side-platformed RTS Koiwai station in southwest Koiwai on the Purple Line. The station is located in a dense commercial area of Koiwai near central Edison Park, just west of the intersection of Edison Boulevard and Democracy Promenade at Koiwai Plaza. Service began on April 19, 2010.
Facilities[]
Koiwai Plaza station was built with several improvements over regular stations, to test potential features at future stations. It has two elevators from each platform to the street level mezzanine. This was done so if an elevator breaks down, service is provided to the station without having to transport passengers from another station.
