The Heart of Darkness is a large , subterranean structure currently near the Earth's core . Due to limitations in human and Cassiopeian technology , no one but Spica and Iris are aware of its creation or where it came from . In fact , no one at all is aware that it is inside the Earth as well . The Interstellar Authority is the machine's assumed creator , but this isn't confirmed as yet . However , the Cassiopiean Empire is the primary contributor of its creator . Other contributors are the Diamond Authority and the Dragon Empire ( its fascist faction , unknown to the former queen , Iris and current queen , Schlera ). Just by whom is unknown . It is confirmed that Andromeda uses this superweapon in her attack , with the intent of wiping out the Earth and forcing Spica to come back home .

USAGE :
Being a weapon of mass devastation , the Heart Of Darkness is used to selectively eradicate entire planets completely by usage of a black hole , which is then reformed after use into a compact metallic ring . As of now , the machine is of desperate need of fuel , and is restoring itself near Earth's core . Once complete , the capsule will drill towards the surface and release the smaller metallic ring where it then will spawn a black hole either by manual or remote circumstances . The machine itself is nigh-indestructible , able to withstand the toughest known conditions in the universe and is only able to be destroyed under supernatural instances . As of now , it is dormant , and is a " backup " plan to whomever's larger scheme .

>Although this is planned to be a sort of " finale " for my current story , I'm not entirely sure as to whether it is necessary .
The Heart Of Darkness is only a sense of a one off story made for an alternate story of mine , where the primary premise is much darker .
The Heart Of Darkness was also supposed to be a ragtag team of delinquents but was scrapped long before story development .
