John Gordon Alexander Heath (May 25, 1868 - May 30, 1938) was a Georgeland political figure who served as Leader of the Georgeland Labour Party from 1933 until 1937. In addition to this stint as leader he was External Affairs in the government of Oscar Lyne. Popular with working-class voters and deeply committed to the Labour cause, Heath failed to achieve the victories his party had expected after the Great depression. At the 1934 election Heath had widely expected to claim victory but his failure to do so led to leadership tensions that ultimately saw him replaced by Fenton Thomas. Heath died during the 1938 election campaign at the age of 70. There is considerable debate in modern times whether Heath would have won the election had he still been leader and if he had lived.
