Medal Requirement Notes
Medal of Honor Risked his or her life in combat against an enemy of the nation, exceeding what is expected of their duty. Highest medal in the nation.
Medal of Valor Faced extreme danger or risked personal safety. Awarded primarily to POW's and severely injured.


Civilian[]

Medal Requirement Notes
Medal of Valor Faced extreme danger or risked personal safety. Awarded to hostages, kidnappees and those severely injured in combat or said situations.
Medal of Vigilance Fought in combat against an enemy force or enemy of the nation to maintain the security of others or that of the nation.
Medal of Liberty Prevented or fought against a terrorist attack against the nation whether on the ground, in the air or at sea.
Medal of Freedom Worked exceptionally to fight for and or strengthen human rights, civil rights or peace or humanitarian efforts. National equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize.
