The quantum pulse generator unleashes a shockwave through hyperspace away from the vessel in which it was initiated. This shockwave affects the vicinity of the vessel only. It knocks them all away from the originating vessel and causing any attacks emanating from them to be knocked off trajectory (homing attacks will still find a target). Affected vessels are also greatly slowed through space-time for quite a while. This can be set so that it only affects enemy vessels.
