Sherbetia, officially the Republic of Sherbetia, is a country in North America, located east to the United States, south to the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, and west to the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda. With a population of 54 million, it is the world's 27th largest country by population. The country's capital is Earlston, while its largest city is Aehaest.
Sherbetia is comprised of two regions: its mainland, which is divided into four states, and Corbyn Island, which functions as its fifth state. The country also indirectly administers the Cobre Islands in the northeastern Caribbean after they served as a territory of the country between 1927 and 1961. From 1950 until 1961, martial law was imposed by the Sherbetian government on the islands in order to combat growing resistance against Sherbetian occupation, which led to numerous human rights abuses.
A highly developed country, Sherbetia ranks highly in terms of quality of life, human rights, education, and has low levels of corruption. The country has one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the world. Sherbetia is a member of NATO and the OECD.
