Walter Robert Montgomery is the second and current President of the Republic of Liberty. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 3rd, 1949 to Robert and Mary Montgomery. He is the second President of Liberty and has been serving since 2006. He attended Yale University and majored in economics and went on to run several different businesses across the United States. Montgomery ran to become a US Representative for the State of Texas in 1984, however did not win the elections. During the formation of the United Republic, Montgomery became a strong advocate for its sovereignty and served in the Senate from 1998 to 2006, when he became the President.
In 2015, Montgomery left the Conservative Party and ran as an Independent in 2016, effectively winning his 3rd term in office. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Montgomery declined to seek a fourth term in office and was succeeded by New York Governor Carolyn McAdams of the Liberal Party.
