Conworlding, also called worldbuilding, is the process of constructing an imaginary world, sometimes associated with a whole fictional universe. The resulting world may be called a constructed world or a conworld. The term "worldbuilding" was popularized at science fiction writers' workshops in the 1970s. Developing an imaginary setting with coherent qualities such as a history, geography, and ecology is a key task for many science fiction or fantasy writers. Worldbuilding often involves the creation of maps, a backstory, and people for the world. Constructed worlds can enrich the backstory and history of fictional works, and it is not uncommon for authors to revise their constructed worlds while completing its associated work. Constructed worlds can be created for personal amusement and mental exercise, or for specific creative endeavors such as novels, video games, or role-playing games.

Selected constate

Project: Independent
Capital: Hufo
Summary: Isokyria (Isokyrian: ᛁᛇᛟᚲᛁᚱ, Isokir; Russian: Исокеря, Isokerya), officially the State of the Isokyrians (Isokyrian: ᛋᛏᚨᚨᛏ ᛟᚠ ᛞᛖᚱ ᛁᛇᛟᚲᛁᚱᛖᚾ, Staat of der Isokiren; Russian: Состояние исокерйцы, Sostoyaniye isokerysty), is a country in Northern Europe surrounded by the North Atlantic Ocean consisting of two primary islands in addition to the Faroe Islands to the east.
Formerly a dominion of the British Empire, it achieved independence at the conclusion of the Isokyrian War of Independence in 1923. The Republic of Isokyria was proclaimed but was weakened by a stark division between the Nationalist and Nordic Coaliton (NNC) and various left-wing parties. A civil war between the the two sides broke out, resulting in tens of thousands of military and civilian casualties. The nationalists, led by Christian Robertsson, emerged victorious and established the modern State of the Isokyrians in 1937. Nororism which was developed by Robertsson, became the state's official ideology with a strong emphasis on national unity, anti-communism, anti-capitalism, gender roles, and family values. Today, Isokyria is a single-party unitary state. The country's de facto head of state is the Chairman of the Isokyrian Nororist Party, who is currently Eydis Stefanic, since 2016.
A developed nation, Isokyria has one of the largest economies in Europe, based primarily on crude oil production. Its gross domestic product was $1.885 trillion in 2016 and its GDP per capita is $65,209, one of highest in the world. It is a member of the United Nations, the Nordic Council, EFTA the OECD, and OPEC. While it is not a member of the European Union, it has a close relationship with it and its member states. It has a population of 32 million who live within its 96,447 sq mi area, 2 million of which live in the capital of Hufo. (more...)
