William Joseph "Bill" Addison was a Georgeland military officer and statesman who served as the 6th President of Georgeland from 1962 to 1970.
Addison was a veteran of World War II, having served as a naval commander and reaching the rank of Commodore. He was wounded in the destruction of UIS Weston at the Battle of the Coral Sea but recovered, and served in the occupation of Japan. After the war he was promoted to Rear Admiral. He was the Chief of Navy from 1957 to 1962, when he was appointed President by Parliament. He was re-appointed for a second term in 1966. He declined a third term in 1970 and retired and was succeeded by Lance Lester Rothschild.
